Invoice a counter order
Review an unpaid order, issue its invoice and prepare or send the customer’s link.
Updated 22 October 2026
Use Orders → View order → Invoices when a named customer will pay an invoice later. The order must still await confirmation and have no collected money or open payment request. Open your own shift at the order’s branch. Invoice access controls which steps you can use.
Review and create
- Choose Invoice instead of collecting now.
- Review the order’s items, quantities and prices, then choose Save invoice draft.
- Check the saved invoice’s total and balance. Creating a draft does not ask the customer to pay.
A walk-in order needs a customer before it can be invoiced. If money has already been collected or a payment request remains open, review that payment in the full order first. A draft is checked again when it is issued, so a payment taken since you opened it can prevent issue.
Issue and deliver
Choose Issue invoice, review the amount and confirm. Issuing fixes its lines. If approval is required, an authorized reviewer must approve it in Open full invoice before delivery becomes available.
For an issued invoice, choose Send or prepare invoice link. Qcom uses the invoice’s existing conversation when available. Otherwise, Customer link prepared gives you a secure link to pass to the customer. Invoice delivery requested means the request was accepted; check the full invoice for delivery progress.
While an issued invoice remains unpaid or partly paid, collect through that invoice. Direct counter collection is unavailable. Payment of the invoice updates the order’s balance and confirms an order that still awaits confirmation. Issuing or sending alone does not confirm payment.
Check an uncertain result
If creating an invoice is interrupted, choose Check invoice result. If no invoice was saved, Retry same invoice uses the saved request and requires its original shift and till. Do not start another invoice to work around an uncertain result.
After an interrupted issue, choose Refresh invoice before another action. After an interrupted delivery, Check or retry same invoice delivery reuses the same delivery request. The customer’s secure link is not kept in the counter’s saved request.
