Contacts

Manage contacts

Add, import, filter, review, and keep customer contact records ready for messaging and segmentation.

Updated 22 October 2026

Contacts are the people your team can message, segment, support, and connect to leads or offers. A contact record stores identity and reachability. It does not, by itself, approve marketing sends or make the person eligible for every offer.

Add contacts

  1. Open Contacts.
  2. Choose Add Contact.
  3. Add at least one reachable channel, such as email, phone, or WhatsApp.
  4. Save the contact.

Use one clear primary channel when possible. Extra identities help Qcom match future conversations, imports, and customer activity to the same person.

Import contacts

Use Import CSV / Excel when you already have a list.

  1. Open Contacts.
  2. Choose Import CSV / Excel.
  3. Upload the file and review the rows.
  4. Fix missing names, invalid emails, or phone numbers before importing.

Imported contacts still follow channel rules. A contact in the list is not automatically opted in to every campaign or message type.

Filter the list

Use search, status, segment, tag, and source filters to narrow the table. Tag and source filters stay in the page URL, so a filtered Contacts view can be shared with another teammate who has access.

When a segment filter is active, tag and source filters may be unavailable because the segment member list is already a separate audience view.

Review possible matches

Use Review matches when Qcom finds contacts that may represent the same person. Review the details before merging. Merging should keep the strongest identity and activity history in one record.

Use contacts with Qyra

Ask Qyra about the current Contacts view, including its filters and contact counts, or ask for cleanup and segmentation suggestions. Review the proposed changes before approving a merge, import, or update. Review the audience and message before sending.

Remove a custom field

Removing a custom field removes its definition from your workspace. Values already saved on contacts are kept; removing the field is not a way to erase that information.

If Qyra asks you to review a field removal again, the field changed after the earlier review. Check the current field before approving the new request.

Common problems

  • A contact must have an email, phone, or WhatsApp number before it can be saved.
  • A contact may appear inactive because there is no recent customer activity.
  • Unsubscribed contacts should not be used for sends that require consent.
  • Duplicate-looking records should be reviewed before merging.
  • Import contacts
  • Troubleshoot contact imports and matches
  • View a contact profile
  • Manage leads
