Contacts
View a contact profile
Understand the contact profile tabs, customer activity, related offers, conversations, and lead history.
Updated 22 October 2026
A contact profile brings together the details and recorded activity linked to one person, including conversations, Catalog interests and lead history.
Open a profile
- Open Contacts.
- Select a contact from the table.
- Use the tabs to review the profile.
The profile can also open from Inbox, Leads, Segments, and other customer-facing workflows.
Read the Overview tab
Overview shows the contact details, messaging identities, tags, segment membership, customer relationships, interests, and lead history.
Lead history appears here as a list for this person. The full pipeline board remains in Leads because the board is a workspace-wide view.
Use Insights
Insights shows recorded customer value, orders, unpaid invoices, leads and relationships when your role can read them. Net recorded value is successful payments less successful refunds. Order value and unpaid invoice amounts are shown separately. Each currency stays separate.
The payment coverage note explains which payment history is included. These figures describe recorded activity; a missing payment record does not prove the customer has never paid.
Review conversations and activity
Conversations shows Inbox threads linked to the contact. Activity shows timeline events such as messages, forms, payments, leads, and workflow actions when those events are available.
Use Load more or Load earlier activity to continue a longer list. Counts may include more records than the page currently shows. Files and links has separate controls for more links and earlier openings; its live-link count describes the links currently shown.
Edit carefully
Use Edit for identity and profile fields. Offer relationships, orders, payments, and lead outcomes should be changed through their owning workspace so the history stays auditable.
Review customer-suggested field changes in Customer profile changes, comparing the current value with the suggestion before confirming. Verified email addresses and phone numbers have separate contact-method checks. See Choose what customers see in their profile.
After saving a profile change, reopen the contact and check the saved value. If the save result is uncertain or someone else changed the profile, refresh before trying again; do not repeat a payment, order or lead action from a missing timeline entry.
Common problems
- Unavailable means the information could not be read. Use Refresh, or ask a workspace owner or admin if access is restricted. It does not mean there are no records.
- A visibility notice means the page shows only the records your role can access, including private Inbox restrictions.
- Missing activity may be linked to another contact identity or recorded without a contact link.
- A profile can have more than one channel identity.
- A contact may have no lead history even if they are a customer.
- Qyra can summarize the open profile, but protected edits still use the normal page actions.
For missing or partial history, continue with Understand contact activity. Check the record's own status before treating an activity entry as completion.
