Where your Storefront orders go
How Qcom decides which Inbox receives an order placed from your public Catalog, and what to do when no Inbox can take one.
Updated 22 October 2026
You don't choose a default Inbox for Storefront orders. An order from your Catalog page goes to an Inbox that can take orders for every item in the cart.
There is nothing to switch on
Open Inbox settings → Automation → Qyra. Under What Qyra can use, choose Catalog, then select the published items assigned to that Inbox.
This Catalog selection determines which items Qyra can use in that Inbox and which direct orders it can receive. The Inbox also needs a working customer channel. There is no separate default-Inbox setting on the Storefront.
You can set up and publish an item's Buy action before choosing an Inbox. Customers can order it from the Catalog page once an Inbox is ready to receive those orders.
When more than one Inbox could take the order
A direct cart must belong completely to one receiving Inbox, so Qcom will not split a cart across two.
When more than one Inbox carries the whole cart, the order goes to the one that has been able to take every item in it for the longest.
Two Inboxes can carry the same item. Qcom picks one, so you don't have to remove the overlap.
Customers already in a conversation
A customer who opened the Catalog from an existing conversation returns to that same conversation and Inbox after checkout, whichever Inbox would otherwise have taken the order. Their thread stays in one place.
What customers are asked
Customers are never asked to choose an Inbox or a business number.
They are asked which channel to continue on only when the cart can be taken on more than one, such as WhatsApp and Telegram.
When readiness says "No Inbox carries this item"
This means no Inbox has that item in its Catalog, so a direct order for it has nowhere to arrive. Customers can still see the item if it is published; they cannot order it from the Catalog page.
To fix it, open Inbox settings → Automation → Qyra → Catalog on the Inbox that should handle the item, and add it to that Inbox's Catalog selection.
You can also ask Qyra, for example "add Jollof Rice to my WhatsApp Inbox". Qyra shows the change for you to approve before it adds anything. If more than one Inbox can take orders, it asks which one. If the Inbox's Catalog is set by item type or category, Qyra asks before adding the whole type or category.
An Inbox also has to have a healthy number connected before orders can continue through it.
