Print or send a counter receipt

Give a paid order's receipt to a customer at the counter or through their chosen channel.

Updated 22 October 2026

From a paid order at the counter, you can print a receipt or send it to the customer by Email, SMS or WhatsApp when their contact details support that channel.

How it works

A receipt is available after the full payment is confirmed. Recording cash or a transfer is not the same as confirming it. Partial payments and payments awaiting review do not qualify for a full-order receipt.

Printing opens the saved PDF in a new tab. Sending uses the selected channel and keeps a copy against the order. A walk-in order without customer contact details offers printing only. Your role needs order editing access to issue or send a receipt; order viewing access lets you open an existing copy.

Print browser copy opens your browser's print window using the order's current confirmed payment details. It needs order viewing access and does not create a saved document or send a message. Choose an installed printer in that window. Thermal paper widths, automatic cutting and cash drawers need a device compatibility check; code scans currently cannot look up Catalog items.

How to use it

  1. Open Orders → View order → Payment and check that the order is Paid.
  2. Under Receipt, choose Print receipt. If prompted, allow the new tab. Use the PDF viewer's Print control if the print window does not open.
  3. To send a copy, choose Send receipt by, check the channel with the customer, then choose Send receipt.
  4. Check the result. Queued means the message is waiting to send. If WhatsApp requires a reply, the customer must reply before the receipt can follow. Check the customer conversation for progress.

When it does not happen

Settings or access

Your role may allow viewing orders without issuing or sending receipts. Ask a workspace manager for the access you need. A blocked popup prevents the printing tab from opening; allow it and try again. The workspace also needs a working sender for the selected channel.

The order or customer is not eligible

An order with a remaining balance or unconfirmed payment cannot receive a full-order receipt. A walk-in customer has no destination for a message, so print a copy. Only channels supported by the customer's saved contact details are offered.

Qcom could not complete it

If opening fails, choose Refresh receipt, then try again. If a send result is uncertain, check the customer conversation first. Retry same receipt send keeps the original request, including after a reload, so a completed send is not repeated. If the receipt changed or its saved request cannot be read, review the order and conversation before requesting another copy.
