Schedule and send a campaign
Send now or pick a time, repeat it, and pause, resume or cancel a send that is already under way.
Updated 22 October 2026
Send time decides when it goes; Launch is what commits it. Until you press Launch, nothing has been sent and nothing is booked.
Now, or later
Send when I launch starts the send as soon as you press Launch.
Schedule asks for a date, a time and a timezone. There are quick picks for in an hour, tomorrow morning and next Monday morning. The time has to be in the future — Qcom won't accept a moment that has already passed.
Scheduling a campaign doesn't lock it. You can keep editing a scheduled campaign, and clearing the date puts it back to a draft.
Repeating it
With a schedule set, Repeat after each run can send it again daily, weekly or monthly, and you can give it a date to stop. Each run books the next one when it finishes.
Repeats keep this campaign's recipient history. A contact already included on a channel can be skipped on a later run, even if the earlier message did not reach them. Check the recipient results; repeating is not a fresh broadcast to the whole list or a retry of every failed message.
If the audience is empty when a scheduled run comes due, Qcom puts the campaign back to draft and the repeats stop.
What happens when you launch
Qcom checks the campaign over before it commits: a channel, a message for it, an audience with someone in it, and someone reachable on that channel. If you're sending straight away, it also checks you have the capacity to cover everyone. Anything missing comes back as a message naming it, and nothing is sent.
For WhatsApp you also get a short review first — how many will be messaged, how many have no WhatsApp number, how many are covered by your monthly bundle and what the rest would cost. Confirm it and the send starts.
The states a campaign moves through
Draft — being written. Nothing sent.
Scheduled — waiting for its time.
Running — sending now.
Paused — you stopped it part-way. What went out has gone; the rest is waiting.
Completed — the run finished. Some messages may still have failed.
Cancelled — you called it off.
Failed — Qcom couldn't finish it. See Why a campaign didn't send.
Stopping and starting again
While a campaign is running you can Pause it. Resume continues the same campaign and checks its existing recipient history. Check the results for messages already sent or awaiting an outcome.
Cancel campaign ends it for good. Messages already sent are gone, but anything still queued is dropped, and the campaign can't be started again.
A running campaign can't be edited or deleted. Duplicate as new draft copies the content, audience and templates into a separate campaign you can change. It does not carry over the original recipient history, so launching the copy can message people again. Review the audience before sending; see Why a campaign didn't send if the original run stopped unexpectedly.
