Write your campaign message
Set who it comes from, build the content for your channel, personalise it safely, and send yourself a test.
Updated 22 October 2026
The campaign editor works down a short list — To, From, Subject, Send time, Content — with a progress bar showing what's still missing. This article covers the two that decide what lands: From and Content.
Who it comes from
Email. Give a sender name and a sender email. A verified address of your own shows a Verified badge. If the address isn't verified, Qcom can use your platform-issued Qymmo sender with your address as the reply-to. That sender must also be ready before launch. Check the final from-line and reply-to in a received test; entering your own address does not authenticate its domain or prove delivery.
SMS. Pick an approved sender ID, or prepare a name using letters and numbers, up to 11 characters. Entering a new name does not by itself approve it for sending; check its approval before launch.
WhatsApp. Pick the connected number the campaign sends from. This also decides which templates you can choose — you only see the ones belonging to that number's WhatsApp Business Account.
Qyra keeps a template that still works when you change the number; otherwise, choose a replacement or ask to remove it. Removing it leaves a draft that needs an approved template before sending.
Build the content
Email — open Design email to build it in the designer, or pick one of your saved templates. The subject line and preheader sit in their own Subject section.
For an email campaign you've already saved, Qyra can suggest a full-email update. Review the draft, then choose Update campaign email to save it to that campaign. If the campaign or its email changed while you were reviewing, open the latest version and ask Qyra again. Updating the draft does not schedule or send it.
SMS — type the message straight into the editor. Qcom saves it as a template for you when you launch.
WhatsApp — you must choose a template WhatsApp has already approved. Qcom won't turn free text into a WhatsApp message, because a template Meta hasn't seen is rejected at send time, after the campaign has gone out. If the template has an image, video or document header, or carousel cards, choose that media before you send.
For a product carousel made with Qyra, choose a different published Catalog product with a picture for each card. Choosing another product updates that card's name, price, link and picture. Qcom checks those details again before scheduling or starting the campaign and when each message sends. If a product changes or is no longer public, choose its card again before sending.
Personalise it without gaps
Merge fields drop each contact's own details into the message. The editor checks them against the audience you picked and warns you in two ways:
- A field isn't in this audience — nobody has it. Add the field to your contacts, take the merge field out, or provide suitable default text where supported.
- A field is set for only some of the audience — you'll see what share of the list has it filled in.
This matters most on WhatsApp: a template value that's empty for someone means that person is skipped rather than sent a half-finished message.
Check it before it goes
The preview panel helps you review the message, and you can send a test to your own email address or phone from the same place. Check the actual received message, links, media and personalised values: a preview does not prove provider delivery or identical rendering on every device. Use a test recipient you control; a test send is still a real message.
For a campaign using more than one channel, review From, content and recipient values for every selected channel. An email preview does not check the SMS or WhatsApp message. If a test's delivery result is unclear, inspect that attempt before sending another. A successful test does not schedule or launch the campaign; continue with Schedule and send a campaign.
Trying two versions
An email campaign can be created as an A/B test: two versions of the content or subject line, split across the audience, with a winner chosen on opens, clicks or conversions. You have to choose A/B test when you create the campaign — it can't be turned on later. See Run an A/B test.
