Campaigns
Why a campaign didn't send
The editor won't let you launch, the send is refused, someone is skipped, or the run stops part-way — four different problems.
Updated 22 October 2026
Check whether launch was blocked, a recipient was skipped, or the send stopped part-way.
The editor won't let you launch
Fix the checks shown in the builder before launching. A test send is separate from launching the campaign; check its result too.
Missing campaign details
- No campaign name: enter a name so your team can identify the send.
- No channel or message: enable the channel you want to use and complete its message.
- No audience: select a segment or add an inclusion tag. Check that the audience contains reachable contacts.
Schedule needs attention
- No date or a time that has passed: choose a future date and time, and check the timezone. A time selected earlier may have passed while you were editing.
- Repeating campaign has an invalid end date: choose an end after the scheduled start.
WhatsApp template is not ready
- Select the sending number before selecting a template.
- Choose an approved template from that number's WhatsApp Business Account. If it belongs to another account, choose a compatible template or number.
- Fill in the template variables and add its required header or carousel media.
- If compatibility cannot be verified, select the template again and review its current details before launching.
Test send cannot start
Enter a test recipient's email address or phone number, then load the preview. Review the preview before sending the test. A successful test does not launch the campaign.
Changing the WhatsApp template clears the previous variable values. Fill them in again before sending. See Write your campaign message.
Something isn't set up yet
Check the setting named in the campaign:
- Plan, allowance or credit: check that Campaigns and the selected channel are included, then check remaining capacity and estimated cost.
- Your workspace hasn't been verified. Campaigns only start once your business details have been reviewed.
- A WhatsApp number connected by QR code can't broadcast. It's inbox-only.
- Your sender email isn't verified. Check the sender shown in the campaign and complete verification before relying on your own address.
- Your SMS sender ID isn't registered. Check its registration status or choose an approved sender. A new registration may need review before you can send.
- The WhatsApp connection or template changed. Check that the number is connected and the selected template is approved, compatible and has its required media.
A recipient was skipped
Check the reason in the report before changing settings or sending again:
- They're Unsubscribed, Bounced or marked as a spam complaint.
- They've opted out of marketing on that channel, or have not given the required consent.
- They have no email address, phone number or WhatsApp number for the channel you chose.
- This campaign already has a message for them on that channel. Resuming or repeating keeps the campaign's recipient history. A skipped recipient is not proof that the earlier message was delivered; check its result.
- A tag or a "do not send to" segment took them out.
- On WhatsApp, a required template value is missing for that person.
The report shows these as Skipped, with the reason beside it.
Qcom couldn't finish it
For a Failed campaign, read its explanation and check the recipient results. Some messages may have been sent before the run stopped.
- Sending could not start: check the named setup or connection problem before retrying.
- The run stalled: check messages still awaiting a result. If you cannot establish their outcome, contact support before starting another send.
- The run had too many failures: review the failure reasons, sender and connection. Correct the cause before sending again.
- The WhatsApp bundle ran out: check which remaining recipients were skipped and the capacity needed before any follow-up.
For 0 sent, check whether anyone remained eligible when the campaign ran.
Before sending again
Open the campaign's recipient results and separate messages that were sent, failed, skipped or still have an uncertain outcome. A failed campaign can include messages that reached customers.
Duplicate as new draft creates a separate campaign. It copies the setup, not the original campaign's recipient history, so sending the copy can reach people again. Review its audience and message before launching. Do not use duplication as a blind retry.
If you cannot establish what was sent, contact support with the campaign name before trying again. See Read your campaign results.
