Review a prospect consultation

Review a website visitor's business needs, proposed setup and contact permission before following up.

Updated 22 October 2026

Qcom's platform sales team can review a prospect's consultation in the shared Inbox. The business summary helps the team continue the conversation without asking the visitor to repeat everything.

Where do I find the summary?

Open the visitor's conversation in the platform Inbox and look for Business consultation in the contact panel. You need access to that Inbox. This information belongs to Qcom's platform workspace and does not appear in another business's customer records.

The current summary separates what the visitor stated from assumptions and unknowns. Proposed setup contains saved advice. Check the conversation to see the reply that was actually delivered.

Must-haves, preferences, intended use and open questions describe the current enquiry. A chosen option records what the visitor wants; it does not give permission to configure an account or contact them elsewhere. If the visitor changes a requirement, review the revised recommendation before continuing. Requirements they explicitly withdraw no longer appear in the current summary. A separate enquiry starts with its own needs rather than inheriting the previous budget or preferences.

When the visitor starts a new enquiry about the same business in the same conversation, confirmed business details can remain available, such as its shops, current channels and tools. Assumptions and the previous enquiry's budget, preferences and chosen option do not carry over. A different business needs its own details. This conversation context is not a permanently saved business preference or proof that someone returning on another device may access it.

What did the visitor agree to?

Expand Summary review, Follow-up permission or Sales consultation to read the version and purpose presented to the visitor. A pending request is not permission. A saved summary is not permission to contact someone elsewhere or transfer their information into an account.

Contact details supplied in a conversation are a requested route, not proof of identity. Before contacting the visitor, check that the relevant permission is accepted and has not been withdrawn. Use only the channel and purpose they agreed to. Permission for one useful follow-up does not subscribe them to ongoing marketing.

The panel names the requested channel: email, WhatsApp, phone call, or this conversation only. A phone-call request does not also permit WhatsApp, even when the number is the same. Permission to reply in the conversation does not permit email to an address saved on the contact.

Visitor agreed records their answer to that request; it does not mean a message was sent or that permission is still current. Awaiting visitor approval, Visitor declined, Permission withdrawn, Request expired and Permission needs review must not be treated as approval. If the contact route needs review, do not choose a different saved address or number on the visitor's behalf.

Visitors can decline contact capture and still receive advice. They can also ask to withdraw permission later. Withdrawal does not recall messages already sent.

How do I continue the enquiry?

  1. Read the business needs, assumptions, proposed setup and open questions.
  2. Check the visitor's chosen contact permission and the reason the conversation needs your team.
  3. Use the existing Inbox assignment and issue controls to take responsibility for the enquiry.
  4. Recheck current product capabilities, plan limits and prices before making a commitment.

An enquiry being recorded does not mean a demo was booked, a follow-up was sent or the visitor registered. A supported business fit and buying intent are distinct from an account signup or a payment.

Why is information missing or marked for review?

The visitor may not have supplied it, may not have approved a summary, or may have changed their business details. Advice can also need review when its supporting information changes. Deleted source messages can make a retained summary unavailable.

If the panel cannot load, select Retry. Do not treat an unavailable permission as approval. Continue from the conversation and ask the visitor to review a new request when necessary.

Can I use the summary to set up their account?

The summary is advice, not an instruction to change a workspace. Account transfer and configuration need their own authorisation. This consultation does not create those settings automatically.

Where do I check signup or payment?

Open the enquiry in the existing Early Access lead list. See Track a prospect's signup and payment for how to read registration, optional trial activation, payment and consultation linkage.

  • Send a requested prospect follow-up
  • Track a prospect's signup and payment
