Send a requested prospect follow-up
Review a prospect's permission, send one useful update and check an uncertain result without sending again.
Updated 22 October 2026
Qcom's platform sales team can send one useful update about a prospect's approved setup from Business consultation in the shared Inbox. You need permission to reply in that Inbox. Saving a contact or summary alone does not permit follow-up.
How do I send it?
- Expand Follow-up permission and review what the visitor agreed to.
- Select Write follow-up when it is available.
- Write a useful update about their setup. Recheck capabilities, plan limits and prices before making commitments.
- Review the destination and text, then select Send follow-up.
Current permission, the setup and the actual destination are checked again before sending. This control supports the current webchat conversation or its matching WhatsApp number. It can also send an explicitly requested email from webchat when the saved address matches the approved address and the Inbox's email requirements are met. It does not place phone calls or silently switch conversation-only permission to email.
What does email follow-up require?
The webchat must allow email replies, the saved contact address must match the request, and Qcom's existing messaging checks must accept that email identity. The workspace also needs an authorised sender and sufficient email credits. A supplied email address alone does not establish identity or bypass contact preferences. If the requirements are missing, review the contact and channel setup; do not substitute another address or change identity details simply to force a send.
Why does sending say it cannot use the shared billing wallet?
This email send can use the workspace's allowance, packs and its own wallet, but cannot currently charge another workspace's shared billing wallet. This message does not mean the shared wallet has a low balance. Add credit to the sending workspace or contact support. Do not change the recipient or send through another route to work around the refusal.
Why is Write follow-up missing?
The request may be pending, declined, withdrawn or expired; the enquiry may not have been saved; your access may be read-only; or the chosen channel may need separate handling. A previous attempt also prevents another send under the same request. Refresh the consultation before deciding what to do next.
What does the result mean?
- Accepted for sending: the message was accepted, but this does not prove the visitor received it. Check delivery updates in the conversation.
- This attempt did not send: review the conversation before asking for fresh permission. Do not automatically repeat the message.
- The sending result is not confirmed: the message may have been sent. Select Check status to read the original attempt without sending again. Do not send a duplicate through the ordinary reply box.
Closing and reopening the consultation does not create permission for another attempt. If checking status fails, try checking again; do not assume the message failed.
What if the visitor withdraws permission?
A withdrawal recorded before the send is authorised prevents that send. Withdrawal cannot recall a message already being sent. Do not use withdrawn permission for further contact or ongoing marketing.
