Take an appointment payment at the counter

Record a deposit or remaining balance, confirm cash and check an uncertain recording.

Updated 22 October 2026

In Bookings, open an appointment to see its collected amount, remaining balance and payments awaiting review. Moving a booking keeps its payments together. A confirmed booking can still have a balance to pay.

Before taking payment

You need Booking write access, permission to settle counter cash and your own open shift at the appointment's branch. Your workspace owner or admin can assign access. The service must allow payment, and the appointment must have a known price and currency.

Record a deposit or balance

  1. Select Take deposit or Take remaining balance. The suggested amount comes from the appointment's payment settings and existing payments.
  2. Check the amount. You can reduce it or split the available balance across payment methods. Money already awaiting payment or review is unavailable for another collection.
  3. Choose Cash, MoMo or Bank. MoMo and bank recordings require the reference for money already received; they do not charge the customer.
  4. Confirm that you received the displayed amount, then record it.
  5. For cash you recorded on your current shift, select Confirm cash payment. Other methods remain subject to payment review. Payments requiring designated reviewers cannot use cashier confirmation.

When confirmed payments cover the required deposit, a held booking can become confirmed. Check the updated appointment before promising the time. A hold that has expired cannot accept a new counter recording.

For the customer to pay online instead, show a card or MoMo checkout. This needs separate permission to request payments.

If a response is uncertain

Keep this browser tab and refresh the payment. The counter checks the saved recording before offering Retry same recording. That retry keeps the original amount, method, reference and shift. Do not create a second recording to replace an uncertain one.

A found recording remains inspectable after its shift closes. Only the original open shift can continue its cash confirmation. If browser storage is unavailable, review the full appointment before recording more money.

When collection is unavailable

  • Settings or access: ask your owner to check your Booking and payment permissions, the service's payment methods and payment requirement. Open your shift at the correct branch.
  • Appointment is not eligible: a cancelled booking, expired hold or fully claimed balance cannot take another payment. Older bookings may need their earlier payment history reviewed before another collection is allowed. Ask your workspace owner for that review.
  • The payment could not load or save: refresh and check the existing recording before another action. Do not assume a missing response means the money was not recorded.

Cancelling or moving an appointment does not issue a refund. Open the full appointment for refund review.
