Export and delete your data

Request a copy of your workspace data, set your privacy preferences, and schedule a workspace or account deletion.

Updated 22 October 2026

Settings → Manage data is where you take a copy of what's in your workspace, set your privacy preferences, and — if it comes to it — close the workspace or your own login down.

How it works

The page has three parts.

  • Export workspace data — pick what to include and we package it as a ZIP and email you the download link.
  • Privacy preferences — whether we send you product and marketing email, and your data processing acknowledgement.
  • Danger zone — scheduled deletion of the workspace or of your personal login.

An export is prepared in the background. A deletion request has a 30-day grace period, but the scheduled date is not a guarantee that all information will be erased. Information that must be retained needs a separate review.

Export your data

  1. Open Settings → Manage data.
  2. Tick the groups you want: Contacts, Conversations, Orders & payments, Business assets (campaigns, products, templates and workflows). Select all takes the lot.
  3. Choose Request export.
  4. Wait for the email. The Recent exports list also shows each job's state — Preparing, Ready, Failed or Expired.

You can request one export every 24 hours. A ready download link doesn't last forever — the list shows the date it expires.

Set your privacy preferences

  • Product & marketing emails — switch off to stop tips, product updates and occasional offers. It doesn't affect messages your customers receive, or alerts your team relies on.
  • Data processing — choose Acknowledge to record that you've reviewed how your data is handled.

The Data governance audit section above lists recent export, consent, deletion and retention events for the workspace, so you can see what has already been done.

Delete a workspace or your account

Delete this workspace requests closure of the workspace. Only the account owner sees this option. Permanent workspace deletion is currently paused while the rules for retained information are reviewed, so this does not promise that contacts, conversations, orders and payments will all be erased after 30 days. Delete my account requests deletion of your personal login; it is separate from closing a workspace.

Both ask you to type DELETE to confirm and record a date 30 days away. Until that date passes, use Cancel beside the scheduled date to withdraw the request. See Customer data retention and deletion for information that may need to be kept.

When it doesn't happen

  • You can't see Manage data. It stays hidden until your workspace has submitted its verification details.
  • Request export is greyed out. You haven't ticked a data group yet, or you've already requested one in the last 24 hours.
  • You don't see Delete this workspace. Only the account owner can close a workspace. Ask them.
  • An export says Failed. Qcom couldn't prepare the file. Request it again, and contact support if it still isn't ready.
  • Keep your account secure
  • Your workspace and brand details
  • Manage your team and roles
  • Prepare a CSV import
  • Customer data retention and deletion
