Workspace access and customer data
Understand team access, separate workspaces and which information customers can receive through Qyra.
Updated 22 October 2026
Qcom uses workspace membership, roles and permissions to control team access. When choosing a setup for your business, consider who needs to see customer information and which tasks they need to perform.
How access works
Your team works in a selected workspace. A person can belong to more than one workspace, with access determined separately for each. Joining one workspace doesn't automatically grant access to another. Authorised Qcom platform administrators have separate administration permissions; team roles aren't a statement that nobody at Qcom can ever access business information.
Seeing information and changing it are different permissions. Roles determine the areas a teammate can use. Some sensitive actions require additional permission. Give people the access they need for their work and review it when their responsibilities change.
Customer answers use information made available for that purpose. Select the Knowledge areas an Inbox can use. Staff-only information is not made public merely because Qyra can help your team with it. Customer access to a purchase or other private information has its own requirements.
Separate workspaces don't automatically share their contents. Don't assume that creating another workspace gives its staff shared access to contacts, conversations, Catalog or stock. Confirm the supported arrangement for each part of your business.
Set up access for your business
- Invite teammates from Settings → Team, choosing roles appropriate to their jobs.
- Review the Knowledge selected for each customer Inbox and what it tells customers.
- Check the customer actions and access requirements on the items you publish.
- Review team access when someone changes jobs or leaves.
When information isn't available
Access hasn't been enabled. Ask your workspace owner or admin to check your membership and permissions. For Qyra's general answers, also check the Inbox's Knowledge selection.
The person isn't entitled to that information. A private customer detail or staff-only guide shouldn't become available simply because someone asks for it. Use the appropriate customer or staff access route.
Expected access still doesn't work. Ask your workspace admin to check the affected workspace and task. Contact support if the problem continues; don't publish private information as a workaround.
Security and deletion questions
These access controls explain who can use parts of Qcom. For where data is stored, encryption, backups and how AI handles your data, see How Qcom protects your data. For contractual or procurement commitments beyond that, ask the Qcom team.
Deleting customer information can require a review, especially where financial information must be retained. A submitted deletion request does not mean all information has already been erased.
