Read the audit trail

Who did what in your workspace, when, and from where — and how to get it out for someone who needs proof.

Updated 22 October 2026

The audit trail answers one question: who did this, and when? It records actions people and automations took in your workspace — a campaign started, a contact created, a payment reconciled, someone signing in.

Open Settings → Audit trail.

What a row tells you

Each row carries the action, what it happened to, who did it, when, and the IP address it came from. Where the actor was an automation rather than a person, it says so rather than naming someone who wasn't there.

Finding the row you need

These filters work together:

  • Search — free text across the entries.
  • Action type — sign-ins, campaign starts, contact creation, and each of the billing events separately: wallet top-up, plan payment, renewal, payment pending review, reconciled, failed.
  • Entity type — narrow to messages, contacts, or whatever the action was performed on.
  • Email type — narrow email events to celebration, activity, onboarding or transactional messages.

Start with the action type. It's usually faster than searching, because you generally know *what kind* of thing you're looking for before you know which one.

Getting it out

You can export matching entries as CSV, Excel or PDF. Use the export when someone outside Qcom needs it — an accountant, an auditor, a customer disputing a charge — rather than screenshots of the table.

The export uses your search and filters, including matches beyond the current page. It includes up to 10,000 entries, so narrow the filters if you need a smaller file.

What it is and isn't

It's a record, not a feed. Nothing here is a notification; a row appearing doesn't alert anyone. If you need to be told when something happens, that's a different thing.

It doesn't cover everything. It records the actions listed in the filter, not every read or page view. An empty result means no matching action was recorded, not that nothing happened.

You can't edit it. Entries are written as things happen and are never changed afterwards, which is what makes the trail usable as evidence.

When you can't find what you expect

The action isn't one that's recorded. Check the action filter — if it isn't in the list, there's no row to find.

Your filters are narrower than you think. Each extra filter narrows the results, so combining them can exclude the row you want. Clear the filters and search again.

It happened in another workspace. Each workspace keeps its own trail, and sub-accounts don't roll up into a parent.

  • Manage your team and roles
  • Keep your account secure
  • Export and delete your data
