Bookings
Set when customers can book
Appointments follow your business hours unless a service sets its own, even outside them. An Inbox only says which services it takes.

Bookings follow your business hours unless a service sets its own days and hours. A date marked Closed all day stops every service. Different hours sets the booking window for that date, including services with their own weekly hours. An Inbox never has hours of its own.
Three places decide it:
- Business hours: the usual days, hours and timezone for your whole workspace. Add a date under Special hours and closures to close all day or use different hours. Different hours can open a normally closed day or part of a holiday.
- A type, in Catalog: the booking settings every item of that type starts with.
- A category or item: different settings for only those services.
Set your business hours
Go to Settings → Business hours, or More → Workspace → Business hours on mobile.
- Opens and Closes: the window each open day runs between.
- Timezone: the one your hours are read in.
- Open days.
- Special hours and closures: choose a date, then Closed all day or Different hours. Tick Every year for a closure that repeats. Add public holidays lists the next 12 months for your country — Eid and Easter included — and you tick the ones you close for. Days people observe without shutting, such as Mother's Day, are offered separately and start unticked. They save as one-off dates, because Easter, Eid and substitute days move from year to year. The list shows any bookings already on those days, and dates you've already set keep their own hours or reason.
Closing a day stops new orders and bookings on it. Different hours change the times customers can choose. Existing bookings stay booked in either case, and you're told how many before you save. Check that they fit your new hours, or move or cancel them in Operations → Bookings.
No time is offered on a closure day, and customers can't place orders then either. Different hours replace the usual hours on that date for orders and bookings. With no business hours set, and no hours in the service's own Booking settings or a chosen date, nothing can be booked: your public Catalog and Qyra tell customers booking hours haven't been set.
Set how bookings are laid out
Go to Catalog, open a type that takes bookings, then choose Booking.
- Days you take these, Opens and Closes: set them and they replace your weekly business hours for that type. Closed dates and special hours still apply.
- Time between offered start times: how often customers see a start time.
- Time needed after each booking: time kept free before another booking can start. Choose None when no turnaround is needed.
- How far ahead: how far into the future a customer can book.
- Minimum notice: the soonest before the start time a customer can book.
Blank days and hours use your business hours. Other blank fields use the standard Booking values: 30-minute slots, no gap, up to 60 days ahead, and no minimum notice.
Ask Qyra to change them
From a type, category or item's Booking section, tell Qyra what to change. Qyra's save keeps them unused until you publish them.
If you saved them on your phone, you can publish them there, or later from Catalog. Publishing replaces what's already saved. A category's blank fields use its type settings; an item's blank fields use its category or type settings.
Give some services their own hours
Open a Catalog type, category or item and go to its Booking section. Days and hours set there replace your business hours for those services. The closest setting wins: item, category, then type. Business hours supply blank days and hours at the type.
Closure days still close every service. Opens and closes must fall on the same day, so a window that runs past midnight isn't supported yet.
Say which services an Inbox books
In the Inbox's Qyra settings, choose Configure next to Booking setup, then Add from Catalog under Services. That's all an Inbox holds: no days, hours or booking rules.
Book appointments in the Inbox's Qyra settings only lets Qyra book there. Bots, your public Catalog and WhatsApp booking forms each book their own way. See What makes an item bookable.
When several Inboxes take the same service
There's nothing to set. A customer who came from a conversation books in that conversation's Inbox. Otherwise a booking from your public Catalog lands in the Inbox that has offered the service longest, the same way orders do. The Book button always shows for a service at least one Inbox takes. To send bookings somewhere else, take the service out of the other Inboxes in Inbox settings.
Staff bookings
Minimum notice binds customers only. Your team can still book inside it from Operations → Bookings or the counter, whatever the switches above say.
Which branch a booking belongs to
The branch comes from the published delivery and access rule that applies to the service. See How an item reaches your customer. If none applies to the Inbox, no times are offered for that service.
Check it looks right
The Calendar tab in the Inbox's booking setup shows booking hours and what's already booked. For a service with its own days or hours, book a test slot.
