Why a time isn't offered for booking
Three reasons a slot doesn't appear, and which one sends you to a setting.
Updated 22 October 2026
You pick a date and get No times on that day, or nothing at all for a service you were expecting. On your public Catalog the calendar greys out days with no time for that party, marks the ones with a time, and lists the day's times beside it. There are three different reasons a day or a time is missing, and they send you to three different places.
A setting you can change
See Set when customers can book for where each of these lives.
- No booking hours are set anywhere. With no business hours and no hours in Catalog booking settings, nothing is bookable. Customers see Booking hours haven't been set yet, and Qcom doesn't fill in hours for you. Set business hours, or give the service its own.
- The day isn't a booking day. A service uses the closest days set on its item, category or type; otherwise it uses the open days in Settings → Business hours.
- The date is closed all day in Settings → Business hours. That closes every service, including ones with their own hours. A date with Different hours only offers times within those hours.
- The time is outside the service's hours: its own, if its item, category or type sets them, then your business hours. Times are read in your business hours timezone, which may not be yours.
- The time is inside the minimum notice. A customer can't book sooner than that before the start time. Your team still can.
- The date is past How far ahead, set in the type, category or item's Booking section.
- Time between offered start times decides how often a start time appears. Time needed after each booking keeps the following minutes free, so some starts may be unavailable.
- The service isn't connected to this Inbox, or none is. An Inbox with no active service offers nothing and says booking setup isn't ready.
- The service isn't published, or isn't public. Neither is offered for booking. See What makes an item bookable.
Nothing's wrong
Some of these look like a fault and aren't. There's nothing to fix.
- The time is already taken — booked, or held while someone settles it. A held slot comes back on its own if the hold isn't settled.
- It's today and that time has gone. Past times on the current day are never offered.
- The service doesn't fit. A 90-minute service can't start 60 minutes before your end time, so the last part of the day drops off the list.
- Something on the workspace schedule is in the way. An appointment written up without an Inbox still occupies the time.
Qcom can't work it out
If a service offers no times on any date, this is usually why. Before offering a slot, Qcom has to know which branch the booking belongs to, and that comes from your published delivery and access rule — not from a booking setting. When it can't settle that, it offers nothing rather than a time it can't stand behind.
Two things cause it:
- No published rule applies to this Inbox. Publish one in Catalog → Public Catalog settings → Delivery and access, or in the service's own Delivery and access section. The Inbox uses what Catalog publishes; there's nothing to choose in the Inbox. Until one is published, its Qyra settings show Publish delivery settings in Catalog first.
- Two rules apply equally. When more than one rule fits at the same level, the answer is ambiguous. Remove one or make one more specific.
