Getting Started
Take your first booking
Set up one service, let a customer book it and check the saved booking.
Updated 22 October 2026
Start with one service customers can book for a set duration. Check the complete booking before offering more services or channels.
Your plan must include Bookings, and you need permission to change booking settings.
Set up the service
- Open the service in Catalog and add Book under Customer actions.
- In Booking, check its duration, availability and any required people or rooms. Set a price if you charge for it.
- Check Settings → Business hours, including the timezone, open days and closures. On mobile, use More → Workspace → Business hours.
- Publish the service and make it visible to customers.
If this service has different hours, set them in its Booking section. Check the time between offered starts, time needed after each booking, how far ahead customers can book and minimum notice. The Inbox chooses services; their hours and booking rules are set in Catalog. See Set when customers can book.
Check the booking method
This first test uses a time slot. Booking type chooses the settings view; How customers book chooses the booking method where that choice is available. Changing the view alone does not enable a method or save your changes. Existing bookings keep their accepted settings when you save a different method.
For a date range, check the booking timezone, charging unit, shortest and longest allowed range, and any room or equipment needed. Days and nights follow that timezone and exclude the last date; a Monday-to-Wednesday stay is two nights. If charging per time unit, set its length too.
For a class or event with a set date and capacity, see Set up scheduled sessions, including its publication and customer-booking limits. Saving a booking method or publishing a session does not by itself enable a customer channel. Complete a customer test before offering it.
Take a booking through Qyra
- Connect the customer channel to an Inbox and choose Qyra to answer.
- In that Inbox's Qyra settings, enable Book appointments and choose Save Qyra settings.
- Open Catalog in those settings and include the service in the Inbox's selection. Choose Configure beside Booking setup and check that it appears under Services.
- As a customer, ask to book the service, choose an offered time and confirm the details.
- Open Operations → Bookings in the same workspace. Check the customer, service, time, price and status.
If payment is required before confirmation, check whether the booking is held for payment or confirmed. See Book, reschedule and cancel.
For booking through a bot, public Catalog or WhatsApp form, see What makes an item bookable.
If the customer cannot book
- The service is missing. Check that it is published, visible to customers and included in the Inbox's services.
- The customer sees the wrong action. Check the item's Customer actions; its type alone does not make it bookable.
- No time is offered. Check hours, closures, notice periods and the people or rooms the service needs. See Why a time isn't offered.
- The booking did not finish. Check Bookings before trying again. If its status is unclear, ask the Qcom team to investigate.
Next, set when customers can book.
